These Terms govern the use of billycalc.com (the "website"), operated by its owner, Alex Semensky ("we", "us"). By using the website you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use it.

1. The service

billycalc offers free online calculators and converters for information and educational purposes. You do not need to sign up or pay. We may add, change or remove calculators and pages at any time; we do not guarantee that any particular tool will remain available.

2. No professional advice

Results and texts are general information. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, medical, nutritional or engineering advice, or any other professional advice, and they do not replace a consultation with a qualified specialist. billycalc is not a bank, a financial intermediary, a financial adviser, a medical provider or a law or tax firm. Before making important decisions, consult a professional and check the rules that currently apply in your country.

3. Accuracy of results: no guarantee

Most calculators use published formulas, which we check against reference examples; some health calculators are simplified educational models and say so in a visible warning. In every case, the results are estimates: they depend on the data you enter, are based on simplified models and may not reflect your personal situation, local rules, current rates or changes in the law. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided "as is" and "as available", without any guarantee of accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose. If you find an error, please let us know.

4. Your responsibility

You are responsible for checking the data you enter and for how you use the results. The decisions you make based on the calculations are your own.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the website for personal, educational and professional purposes. You may not:

  • interfere with the operation of the website or overload it (for example, with mass automated requests), or bypass its security measures;
  • copy the website or substantial parts of its content to build a competing service;
  • use the website for unlawful purposes;
  • present billycalc results as official or as advice from a licensed professional or organisation.

6. Embedding calculators on your website (widget)

You may embed our calculators on your website free of charge using the code we provide on the calculator pages ("Embed on your site"), provided that:

  • the link to billycalc.com included in the widget stays visible and working;
  • you do not alter the widget's results, present it as your own tool or suggest that we endorse your website;
  • you do not embed it in unlawful or misleading content.

We may change or withdraw widgets at any time. You may also link freely to any page of billycalc.

7. Intellectual property

Mathematical formulas are public knowledge. The texts, design, code, and the billycalc name and logo are protected. Short quotations with attribution and a link to the source page are allowed; any other reproduction requires our prior written permission ([email protected]).

8. Third-party links

The website may contain links to other websites. We do not control their content and are not responsible for it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for direct or indirect damage, lost profits or loss of data resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the website, from errors in calculations or texts, or from decisions made on the basis of the results. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, in particular for intent or gross negligence or for injury to life, body or health; mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

10. Privacy

The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using the website after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

12. Applicable law

These Terms are governed by the applicable law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection given to you by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you have your habitual residence. If any provision is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
